BOOKING TERMS
- Bookings must be made using the booking engine found on the GT Travel website: www.gttravel.is/imdt/
- All requests for modifications/amendments must be sent by email to GTS.
- Bookings must include information about any special needs of tour participants such as physical handicaps and special dietary requests. All special needs must be confirmed by GTS in writing.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
GTS requests the following deposits for group reservations:
– 10% of the total package price upon registration.
Full payment shall reach GTS before 5th of February 2023. A notification email with payment information will be sent well in advance to ensure full payment.
In case of any delay on these payments, GT Travel – GTs ehf. will reserve the right to take appropriate actions and treat this as a cancellation and withdraw the confirmation of all the services.
CANCELLATIONS
All cancellations must be made by email to GTS.
Please note that cancellations of passengers within a group may cause a price increase for the group or a cancellation fee for those particular passengers.
Except otherwise stated, a tour or package or any product canceled without due notice are subjected to a cancellation fee according to the following scale:
– Cancellation of group bookings must reach GTS 80 days prior to arrival.
– 80-60 days (12-8 weeks) prior to arrival, 50% of the total amount will be charged.
– 59-30 days (8-4 weeks) prior to arrival, 75% of the total amount will be charged.
– 0-29 days (4 weeks or less) prior to arrival, all reserved service will be charged.
This is valid for no-shows as well.
LIABILITY
GTS assumes no liability for injury, loss, damage, accident, sickness, delay, changes in schedules caused by weather conditions, or any irregularities or inconveniences which may occur either because of defect or as acts of government or other civil authorities (war, civil disturbances, strikes, etc.) or from any cause beyond GTS’s control. In case of any changes in flights (domestic and international), extra hotel nights, meals, transfers, etc., the customer bears full responsibility for the payment of any additional fees and costs as a result of the changes, at the time the service is provided.
INSURANCE
GTS strongly recommends that all tour participants obtain travel insurance for such items as trip cancellation, medical care, baggage loss or damage, and any injury or accident that might occur during their stay in Iceland and optional tours, such as riding tours, snow scooter tours and so on…GTS is not responsible for damage or loss of luggage or personal belongings of passengers even if they are based in the coach. Therefore it is strongly recommended that all participants obtain insurance of luggage. On the other hand, GTS guarantees that all the insurances, that the Icelandic state requires from tour operators and travel agencies, are available.If the customer is not satisfied with the trip to Iceland, he/she must inform GTS within 90 days after they depart from Iceland. Otherwise, possible compensation is not valid.
GOVERNING LAW
All disputes arising out of or relating to this agreement and matters concerning insolvency shall be resolved in the District Court of Suðurland, Selfoss, Iceland. Here below are the regulations regarding the drivers hours:

Please note that according to Icelandic regulations and EU rules drivers are not allowed to drive more than 9 hours per day. That includes the time he needs to wash the coach and to prepare for the next day. Working hours should take place between 08.00 and 17:00 unless mentioned otherwise in the offer. The daily rest period for the driver shall be at least 11 hours. If the program includes any evening excursions or night transfers the departure time for the following day will be adjusted to the minimum required resting time.
