Did you know that in Iceland we have 13 Yule lads ? They all have different names, and their mothers name is “Grýla” and their fathers name is “Leppalúði”. The first Yule lad comes to town on the 12th of December, in the morning kids are excited to see what they got from the Yule Lad. He gives them presents or potatoes to those that behave badly, he puts the goods in a shoe that kids leave in their window. Some kids even leave them gifts or letters.

Photo taken outside of Harpa music hall, electric bus on the right. GTS has purchased the first electric bus in Iceland and thereby taken an important step towards an eco-friendly future. The bus is already in use and will be based in Reykjavík for the time being. The bus has a range of 320 km with one charge. It´s a so-called city bus based on a Swedish concept, with three point seat belts and 32 seats. It was bought from Yutong Eurobus in China. Yutong is the biggest bus manufacturer in the world. Besides being eco-friendly, the bus is quiet, consumes very little energy and is an excellent addition to our fleet.
